Cha Roque, a filmmaker and LGBT advocate in the Philippines, talks about being inspired by her daughter’s activism in the LGBT community in a conversation with Sudeshan Reddy during the session of the Forum in Chiang Rai, Thailand, in October 2016. “My daughter is very active in the LGBT cause, she attends pride marches and speaks in seminars... She is very outspoken in social media - if there is an issue about LGBT, especially human rights, she will voice her opinion.” The Salzburg Global LGBT Forum was formed in 2013 to establish a truly global space to reflect upon and advance the LGBT and Human Rights discussions around the world.
