Today we are taking a Mekong River cruise for two days to Luang Prabang, Laos! We started our journey in Chiang Rai, Thailand. Then we took a bus to Chiang Khong, Thailand where we stayed one night before crossing the border to Laos. The border crossing was very easy and organized by our tour guide. We then boarded our two day slow boat cruise down the Mekong River. We enjoyed slowly cruising and watching life along the river. After a few hours, we were served a delicious buffet lunch with options for everyone. We then arrived to a local village and tried their homemade rice whiskey. After visiting the village our cruise continued down the river until we arrived to Pak Beng to stay the night. Our room had an amazing room overlooking the river and surrounding mountains.
