INFO:
Here’s another fun pop-up annotation animation for Sarah Suk's Made in Korea. Follow along as she shares the inspiration and significance of some of her characters with us. BONUS fact: Valerie’s grandmother is modelled after Sarah Suk's own grandparents. “Unlike Valerie, I grew up very far from my grandparents as I lived in Canada and they lived in Korea. In university, I spent a semester studying abroad in Seoul and I visited them every weekend because I was so curious to spend time with them. This was a precious time to me and though it was short, it made me want to explore that grandparent/grandchild relationship further. I had many friends who grew up close to their grandparents as well and I knew what a special bond that could be.” —Sarah Suk. ◥ ◤ ◤ ◣ ◥ For more information about #WTAmplifiedVoices visit: writerstrust.com/AmplifiedVoices
